About Dean Cartage Inc.
History
In 1956, our founder E.E Dean started trucking all over North America. In 1968 after the birth of his only son, he named the company E.E Dean and Son. Steve Dean became involved by the age of 17, learning and working with his dad. After taking over in the mid 1990's, the company was renamed Dean Cartage Inc.
Today the Dean fleet has grown to 25 full time drivers and brokers, and we haul 17,000 loads a year. At Dean Cartage Inc. we are privileged to enjoy a 50 year relationship with Taylor Steel and a 40 year relationship with Arcelor Mittal Dofasco.
Award for Excellence
Dean Cartage Inc was presented an award for "Excellence in our Health and safety program". We were the only carriers that were honoured and are so very proud to be included in A.M Dofasco's presentations all over the world.
In memoriam, Jimmy Moore, 1956-2022
We lost an absolutely vital member of the Dean Cartage Inc family. Jimmy Moore passed suddenly in January. He was our lead hand and a close buddy for 35 years. It is impossible to express how essential he was to our firm and our lives. The most reliable man that I ever worked with. We miss him terribly.
